This morning I was chatting with a recruiter friend of mine and we were discussing how powerful the tool LinkedIn is. I made a statement that I didn’t like the fact that most people go through all the trouble of putting up a great profile but they don’t put their email address on their profile so they can be contacted by a recruiter.
In this video, I will show you how to quickly add your email and contact information to your LinkedIn profile so that recruiters will be able to reach out to you when they are interested in making a job offer.

Thank you for the great tutorial on email address location. I have two follow-up questions.
You mentioned that LinkedIn did not care for the bracketed email address as part of the name.
Also, you went back and forth with your phone number. I noticed you include it on your profile. Have you gotten spam, or unwanted phone calls from your profile on LinkedIn?
Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial!
John,
Having my phone number on my LinkedIn profile has actually helped. I have gotten more job offers simply because the recruiter could contact me. As far as spam or unwanted calls, that has yet to happen.
