Hard Work Does Not Pay

Before I get started, I want to thank a loyal listener who reminded me yesterday that it had been some time since I last podcasted. She was just checking up on me to make sure everything was okay and to tell me to get back in gear because she loves listening to me.
We have been talking about branding, but I am going to postpone the continuation of that subject. There’s so much that can be discussed on branding and I want to make sure that I have the right focus and mindset when I start talking about that again.
I want to talk about something that I read a few days ago that really inspired me. It is on the subject of success and duplicating yourself. I titled this podcast, “Hard Word Does Not Pay”. ChiWanda, thank you for inspiring me with the title and to Tanisha… well here’s your requested podcast.
Emergency Podcast: No Cost Insurance
March 16, 2007 | Leave a Comment
This is what I would label as an emergency podcast. Today I was on a teleconference with a national wealth advisor listening in on some wealth building strategies. As he was going through some strategies, he mentioned a no out of pocket life insurance technique.
Of course this caught my interest and after the call I contacted my financial planner who invited me to this teleconference. As we discussed this concept, I decided to do a little research on my own. What I discovered was so exciting that I had to stop and podcast about it immediately.
The information I am about to share with you will undoubtly help someone. Not everyone will qualify, but I ask that you pass this message on to those who do.
During my research, I discovered a program that provides a $50,000 life insurance policy that is to be used for the educational benefits of your children should you pass away. Here’s the great part, there is no out of pocket expense for those who qualify. It’s a free life insurance policy to cover your children’s educational needs in the event of your untimely death.

Creating Your Brand - Part 2

In our last podcast, we started talking about building your brand. I mentioned that branding was the essence of who you want people to think you are. This is going to be especially true in this podcast as we talk about your packaging.
Please understand, creating an image is important. There are many people who are highly educated and extremely talented but are essentially diregarded by their peers, managers, and company executives simply because they do not have a polished personal brand. While by the same token, there are others who are no where near as talented or educated yet they are the ones who are constantly being promoted and recognized by company leadership. What did they do differently, they paid attention to their brand.
In this podcast, we talk about the appropriate wear for business casual. Below are helpful links to the do’s and don’ts of business casual.
We also talked about two additional websites:
Creating Your Brand - Part 1

Today I would like to talk about branding. When you hear the term, what comes to thought? Do you think about major coporations like Coca Cola and McDonalds? Or do you think of…yourself… Joe Smoe, average American?
You should be thinking of yourself. After all, this podcast IS about personal and professional development. Branding is not something reserved for major corporations. Each individual has their own personal brand. It is the essence of who you want people to think you are. Yes, I said who you want people to think you are.
When you hear the name Donald Trump what do you think of? What about the name Johnnie Cochran? How about OJ Simpson? And then there’s Michael Jackson. These are names of individuals, they are not names of companies, yet, when you hear their names, you immediately associate them with a label. That’s what I call their personal brand.
Listen and learn how you can effectively create the brand you desire.
A Woman’s Place is in the Home?

This morning I was taking a shower and it dawned on me what I should title this podcast. As you know, I am all about the shock element of catching people’s attention. I think this title will definitely grab people and create curiosity around what I have to say about this subject.
Notice that I did not make a statement but rather asked a question with this title. The question mark at the end of this title changes the overall meaning.
So ladies, before you get mad or make assumptions, understand that I am not making a statement, but rather asking a question. A question that I already have an answer for, and yes, I think the women of the world will be happy to hear my view point on this subject.
