This podcast is a continuation from Working for Pedigree Companies - Part 1. In this podcast, I go through my work history telling stories along the way. I think you will enjoy the stories that you hear as it will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation as to who I am. There are some great tips that you will find in this podcast and they are also listed here:
- When you do not have a job, oftentimes you will make desperate decisions in order to survive and draw a paycheck.
- Try not to make bad decisions like this when taking a job, however, if you do, don't stay on a job just because you think you owe it to them. People make mistakes, however staying in a mistake just because you feel guilty is dumb.
- Know your value or you will get taken advantage of.
- Never take a counter offer, especially from someone who has taken advantage of you.
- Never make assumptions about things you haven't investigated.
- Build some rapport with your boss so that when you come up with these types of ideas, it doesnt seem like you are going after your boss' job.
- Money is not always the answer growth is. If you grow into positions with more responsibilty the money will come.
- Never judge a book by its cover.
